Several Metro Vancouver cities saw rent increases this month

Rent prices in six of nine Metro Vancouver cities have recently increased, including Vancouver, Burnaby, Langley, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Coquitlam. Furnished one-bedroom rents rose nearly 4% in West Vancouver and over 2% in Vancouver. Burnaby saw increases in all rental categories, with furnished three-bedrooms up 3.74%. Despite recent rises, rents remain lower than two years ago but are still among Canada's highest, with nearly 40% of renters spending over 30% of income on housing.
